Copper hydroxide (Cu(OH)2), also called cupric hydroxide, is a blue chemical and slightly toxic. Under ambient temperature, it will quickly be decomposed into copper oxide and turns black. It is mainly used in medicine, pesticides, pigments, etc. Popularly, it's manufactured via the reaction between copper sulfate and sodium hydroxide in industry. After the reaction, solid copper hydroxide and sodium sulfate solution are formed. Here the solid precipitates in the form of flocs in the solution. Then the solid-liquid separation is carried out through a plate and frame filter press. After the initial separation, the solid Cu(OH)2 will be dried and dehydrated, and finally crushed and packaged.
