How to improve pp filter press performance for acid pickling

In China, many steel plant and electroplate factory need acid pickling to remove the steel rust. But it will cause huge watewater. On 2005, China issued Steel Industry Development Strategy. It requires for each ton of steel, the wastewater should be under 8 ton on 2005; under 6 ton 2020. For the wastewater treatment, our pp filter press is good for dewatering sludge to recycle the water. Our pp filter press adopts best quality pp filter plate, so that endures strong corrosion and has longer service life. In this filed, here we share some experience while using our pp filter press.

Increase the oxidizing agent. Normally it use air for aeration, but if the wastewater contains lots of Fe2+, the oxidization will be limited. Here suggest H202 as oxidizing agent. After oxidizing, then neutralize, thus it will highly change Fe2+ to Fe3+, and can improve the sediment effect. Our pp filter presses and filter press plates have very good chemical stability, so no need worry our filter press machine. 

Optimize the neutralizer. Before dewatered by our pp filter press, it will be neutralized to ph around 6.5 to 7. Traditionally, it will use NaOH or lime. If use caustic soda, the advantages are: small sludge output, simple dosing system, but the disadvantage is higher cost and it’s difficult for sediment and dewatering. If use lime, the advantages include: cost saving, easy sediment and dewatering. But the disadvantage is difficult to dose and easy to cause slags. Here we suggest use lime, so that can perfectly remove the ions. And much easier for pp filter press.
